Taste Contemporary is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new drawings by the Spanish artist Marcella Barceló. Frequent travels to Japan introduced her to Mono No aware, an aesthetic concept derived from Japanese Buddhist philosophy that deals with the elusive nature of the sensible world, the description and resigned contemplation of what is lost. In her work we encounter a disturbing metaphorical strangeness, crossed by the recurring figures of ghostly adolescents, hesitating between wonder and anguish.
