We are delighted to show the work of Jackie Mulder for the first time at artgenève.

Since childhood, Jackie Mulder has created her own safe world through meticulously scribbled drawings on paper, which evolved into works spanning several meters. At seventeen, she left her parental home, freeing herself from the constraints of her environment—a transformative experience that now fuels her artistic expression.

Since 2020, Mulder has worked on ‘Thought Trails,’ a project where her unique approach to photography and mixed media art challenges viewers’ perceptions of photography and pushes the medium’s boundaries. Her creative process begins with a self-made photograph or a combination of several photos, followed by labor-intensive deconstruction and reconstruction, resulting in unique, multilayered, and often tactile artworks. Embracing chance, she avoids preconceived notions of the final product, allowing her mind to roam freely. While working, she becomes completely absorbed in her own creative space, reminiscent of her childhood days spent scribbling in her room.

Jackie Mulder lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

We look forward to presenting her work at artgenève 2025, which runs from 30 January to 2 February.
